Job description

Your own furniture, doors, floors and constructions are what you will learn in this course. Learn about different styles and practise making them. From now on, any interior design could be made by yourself. The work includes manual work as well as machines that produce mass-produced and one-off pieces, and of course produce these in different variations. The functionality and aesthetics of your work are in your hands!

  • Designing and drawing products according to design and functional aspects
  • Distinguishing types of wood, selecting wood and wood-based materials according to intended use and cost-effectiveness
  • Manufacturing parts from wood and wood-based panels by hand and with machines
  • Sawing, planing, chiseling and plastering to size and shape
  • Planning and preparing work processes, assembling parts and fittings into products
  • Processing veneers, plastics, metals, glass and auxiliary materials
  • Setting up, operating and maintaining machines, machine tools and pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic devices
  • Finishing surfaces with various coating materials
  • Preparation and execution of restoration work
  • Installing ready-to-assemble parts and products
