Job description
Industrial mechanics manufacture, modify or set up a wide variety of production systems and equipment. They monitor and optimize production processes and take on repair and maintenance tasks. They use technical drawings to manufacture components into assemblies. These are used to create machines and systems.
The components are machined and manually processed. Both conventional and CNC machine tools are used for machining.
They also check the function of assemblies as soon as they are completed and test the finished machines on test benches before putting them into operation. They also carry out regular inspections and maintain the machines.
