14 new trainees welcomed

The 14 trainees began their training period with a joint welcome in the main building of Clausthal University of Technology. "We are delighted to welcome you to Clausthal University of Technology here in the Audimax," said Janina Hardel from Human Resources. Uwe Hanke, Chairman of the Staff Council, wished them every success for the three and three-and-a-half year training period.

Training coordinator Gesine Redecker then gave a brief overview of Clausthal University of Technology. "They are given a solid foundation of knowledge and skills during their training here. Our trainees are trained by qualified specialists in the university's laboratories, workshops, libraries and offices," said Redecker. The trainees also have the opportunity to take part in in-house language and IT courses, university sports courses and other training events offered by the Continuing Education and Event Management department. After a short round of introductions, the trainees were released into their new professional lives at their respective institutions.

The 14 new trainees are divided into the following professions: five IT specialists for application development and system integration, one administrative assistant, one media designer for image and sound, two electronics technicians, two chemical laboratory technicians, one industrial mechanic, one carpenter and one precision mechanic.

In addition, seven trainees successfully completed their apprenticeships in the summer. Michael Arndt, Niklas Lange and Jens Hake are now IT specialists. Agnes Stein is a trained media designer for image and sound. Selina Simon has learned the trade of carpenter, Tim Brodhage is a specialist in event technology and Lucas Kaufeld is a journeyman in precision mechanics.
