Christian Arndt - 1st year of apprenticeship
I started my training at TU Clausthal in August 2020 at the age of 20. I decided on my career path very early on. I have been fascinated by computers since I was 7 years old. I got my own computer when I was 10. This occasionally caused problems, which is why I quickly acquired a basic knowledge of computers. My knowledge of computers did not go unnoticed at my school, which is why I was often consulted by teachers and students when the computer was not working as it should.
I therefore decided to train as a systems integrator.
I applied to various companies and then decided on the computer center at TU Clausthal. My training started with a major obstacle, the corona virus, which has severely restricted the world since March 2020. But even the virus didn't stop the TU Clausthal computer center from giving me a good and varied first year of training.
My activities are wide-ranging, from troubleshooting for customers to larger projects such as installing, setting up and setting up our PC pools or replacing the printers on our campus.
TU Clausthal offers me exactly what I wanted during my training. An apprenticeship with friendly colleagues and customers as well as many different tasks and projects - both alone and as part of a team.
